Platinum Advisors, headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona, is a diversified development company in the Southwest, US. Platinum is focused on the acquisition and development of projects including mixed-use entertainment, industrial/flex, office, retail, investment properties, and mid-rise residential projects.
Since its debut in 1994, the company has grown from a mid-size office condo developer to a nationally recognized mixed-use developer. Rebranding as Platinum Advisors in 2010 allowed the company to further emphasize its strategic partnerships and developments within the commercial and residential areas, as well as the depth of expertise, proven track record, and respected management team.

Jim Riggs
Founder & CEO
Jim started his real estate career in New Jersey after completing his law degree at Georgetown University. He turned entrepreneurial vision into reality in 1998 by moving to Arizona and pioneering the development of office condominiums. SAXA (formerly Shea Commercial) became the largest developer of office condominiums in the US with 5 offices in the Southwest and 75 projects.
In 2010 he rebranded as Platinum Advisors, a real estate investment and advisory firm, to create innovative real estate partnerships focused on revitalization projects, amusement attractions, distressed retail centers and mixed use commercial/multi-family projects. Jim has over 34 years of experience and has been recognized 3 times as Arizona NAIOP “Developer of the Year”, Phoenix Business Journal’s “Forty under 40” and “Talk of the Town” awards.
Jim resides in Scottsdale with his wife, has 5 children and is active in local charities including St Patricks Church and a board member of The Greater Scottsdale Boys & Girls Club for over 18 years. He is an avid Philly sports fan and enjoys golf, pickleball, Hot Yoga, and Jersey Shore summers.

Tonianne Strohkirch
VP Of Real Estate
In 2002, Tonianne launched her career in real estate development by collaborating in a startup environment to create a multi-state office condo development firm. She progressed to be a part of Senior leadership and help Shea Commercial become the nation’s largest developer of office condominiums. She has a track record of success in acquisitions, redevelopment, dispositions and property management. Her comprehensive background in real estate projects has been essential to the strategy of multiple real estate firms and many of her projects have won special recognition and awards.
Tonianne resides in Gilbert, AZ with her husband and daughter. They typically spend their winters snowboarding and summers exploring Arizona’s high country, hiking and fly fishing.
Tonianne obtained a degree in Business and Communications from ASU in 2001 and holds an Arizona Real Estate Brokers license.

Ryan Riggs
Commercial Asset
Manager
Ryan is an Arizona native and has five years of Brokerage, Development, and Asset Management experience. Upon graduating from the University of Arizona with a degree in Business Management, Ryan began his career in the insurance industry. He quickly realized his true passion was real estate development and pivoted to pursue development opportunities in a family business. As an asset manager he has contributed to the profitably of numerous projects in Scottsdale and Dallas. Ryan was recently accepted to Arizona State University’s Masters in Real Estate Development program for the fall of 2023 and is eager to take his career to the next level.
Ryan lives in Scottsdale and spends his free-time mainly playing or watching baseball, basketball and golf. Ryan also enjoys doing hot yoga and trying new restaurant concepts.
